Testing in Sandbox
Unit's Sandbox environment is a full replica of the production environment — all standard API endpoints work exactly the same way.
Use it to build and test your integration end-to-end before going live.
In addition to the standard endpoints, Sandbox exposes a set of simulation-specific endpoints.
These are needed to trigger events that would otherwise require external activity or a significant amount of time to occur — such as a payment clearing, a wire being received, a card purchase settling, or a statement being generated.
Simulation endpoints use the same base URL (https://api.s.unit.sh/sandbox/...) and are subject to the same authentication scheme as all other API endpoints, and therefore require a valid Authentication token.
In Sandbox only, closed or inactive accounts (no transactions or account updates for 2+ months) will be excluded from certain background processing (interest accrual/payout, daily credit loan returns, and monthly statement generation). Accounts remain fully accessible via API and Dashboard, and processing resumes automatically once account activity resumes.
